Making a Purchase

Square Barrel can only sell alcohol to those over the age of 18. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or the minimum legal age for purchasing alcohol in your country of residence e.g: 21.

Making a purchase could not be easier. Browse through our on-line shop, select by clicking on an item that you wish to buy and place into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on “Order” and you will be asked for a few details that we require to process your order.

We accept online credit card payment. If you are shopping from outside the UK, please simply follow the standard process to place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction into your local currency.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, JCB and Maestro payments through Pay Pal. If you do not wish to provide your credit card details “online”, you may also send your card information by telephone, fax or regular mail. Please have you order details available when you contact us.

Our range of independent bottlings are matured and bottled in Scotland by Single Malts Direct from casks containing spirit produced at the Distillery. Our spirit is different from the Distillers bottled product.

Shipping and Handling

We aim to dispatch all orders within 7-10 working days of receipt of the order.

Customs

Please note that although we ship products to many countries around the world, certain countries have restrictions regarding the supply of products containing alcohol – including Canada and the USA. For this reason, we despatch goods to some countries entirely at the risk of the customer and, although we maintain proof of shipment from our carrier, we unfortunately cannot guarantee delivery to certain worldwide locations.

Please contact us if you wish to check delivery regulations/status regarding the country in which you are located prior to placing your order.

Tax Charges

All orders for DELIVERY in the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free and you should click the exempt button option to reduce VAT to zero.

Credit Card Security

All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee

We guarantee your satisfaction. Any complaints will be promptly dealt with by our Customer Service Team. Please check all goods carefully on receipt for damage or breakage. It is important that any problems are documented when signing for your package(s) on receipt. This will aid any relevant insurance claims. Square Barrel Whisky does not disclose buyers’ information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the “Remember Me” Option. Data collected by this site is used to:

a: Take and fulfil customer orders

b. Administer and enhance the site and service

c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes

Returns Policy

If products received are damaged we will arrange for a replacement product to be sent or, alternatively, reimburse you (including delivery costs) provided you inform us of the problem within 7 days of receipt. Where possible, please document any damage when signing for receipt of the product.

If you are unhappy with a product, for a reason other than damage, please inform us within 7 days and arrange for the product to be returned to us in good condition in its original packaging. We will then reimburse you for the cost of the product (excluding delivery costs).
